Excellent Prawn Noodle!
for Ming Yun Famous Fried Hokkien Prawn Noodle - 19 August 2006

Food 5 / 5 Price 5 / 5

There are always a few criteria for me when rating a plate of Hokkien Prawn Noodle. Firstly  is its wetness. Too dry made the noodle hard and tasted like flour. A little wet with a bit of the gravy would be excellent.Ming Yun's Prawn Noodle is slighty wet. Meet my expectation!

Second is whether the prawns are firm enough. Nothing is worse than chewing a piece of soggy prawn, ...

Unique Beancurd.
for Ding Hao (鼎好) - 18 August 2006

Food 5 / 5 Price 4.5 / 5
Service 4 / 5 Ambience 3 / 5
It will be unfair to compare Ding Hao's Bean Curd with normal 'Soya Bean Curd' and thus I rate it as a dessert on its own in this case.

Ding Hao's Egg Milk Bean Curd is feels like 'Almond Jelly' on first bite. Its texture is not soft as Bean Curd, but rather having a 'jelly' feel. The slight fragrance of egg milk also makes it taste great. Deserve at least a try!

Soft Pork Ribs..Excellent till the last bite!

Tiong Bahru Wanton Mee's Jing Du Pork Ribs Noodle is one special 'Wanton Noodle' that you should not miss! The Pork Ribs' gravy used to mixed with the noodles. The noodles are very 'Q' and together with the soft pork ribs meat, this plate of pork ribs noodle definitely satisfy me to the last bite.

Jing Du Pork Ribs Noodle is priced at $3 and $4. Definitely worth the money!

When Foodlane was on a visit to Original Tiong Bahru Roasted on 9am on the saturday afternoon, we noticed an amazing line of queue forming in front of Teck Seng Beancurd, even if there are several Beancurd stall at Tiong Bahru. The queue is ever growing, even if Mr and Mrs Loh did their best to handle the customers with a constant smile on their face.

When Foodlane finally finished its ...

Must try!
for Liang Liang Garden (凉凉园饮冰室) - 15 August 2006

Nothing come close to a bowl of cold and smooth ice cocktail when you are under the hot sun and after eating several bowls of Lor Mee non-stop.

The fruits and ingredients used are very fresh and the dessert are not over sweeten. Deserve a try!
